Posted November 6, 2020. You need to have a hammer or hatchet equipped to build the fence. The components need to be in the component slots. Then you cycle through the prompts to build the portions of the fence you want. If you build something you don't want equip an axe and you will get prompts to disassemble portions of the fence.

Been meaning to try them and on my new base.Then as @glen525 mentions, build 2 walls or more, one in front of the other. Use barbed wire on the top and bottom of the walls too, this will cause damage to players getting to close to the walls. Use the combination bike locks on the gates you build. I usually build 3 to 4 gates all with locks to wear down peoples hack saws.
