Do a 24 hr overnight trip tuna trip out of Port A next fall. The boat runs are much shorter than the 36-60 hr trips. Actually used it on my popping rod with an spl84 and it casts like a dream. The small diameter played a big roll. Caught fish up to 85 lbs without a problem. For jigging, JB hollow. It's been very busy fishing around and I finally can post report of tuna popping trip in Panama in May. I fished on 110' luxurious mothership of Panama Sport Fishing Lodge. In my opinion this reel was made for one reason. It wasn't made to beat the Stella or saltiga. It was built so that all the okuma junkies could get rid of their Stella's and saltigas and say "look at me!". Glacier bay is a 100% Displacement Hull and is slower, but the ride is slightly better.
